NY NEW LEBANON — Shaker Preservation Committee restricts event venues to red zones in historic district. The committee approved prior meeting minutes and spent the session debating zoning guidelines for cultural event venues across preservation zones of the district. Committee Chair Winfried Fuchshofen reported collaborations with an advisory committee and an architecture program including the Architectural Institute of America to refine district preservation plans.
The committee agreed to restrict event venues to red zones only, limited to one venue per zone and required to use existing structures.
