Board adopts comprehensive Personnel Policy update effective immediately

NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board adopts sweeping Personnel Policy updates effective immediately, approves fire-loss equipment replacement. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling and four councilmembers voted unanimously on five separate resolutions, including comprehensive revisions to employee policies and establishment of a formal Privilege of the Floor policy for public comment. The board approved purchase of a Caterpillar Model 926 wheel loader for $192,323.08 fully funded by insurance proceeds from a January highway garage fire, and voted to repay $200,000 to the Highway Fund from insurance reimbursements.
Additional votes approved a special June 22 meeting for Planning Board appointments and authorization to solicit annual bids for fuel, HVAC, and other services.
