NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board enacts zoning procedure amendment, streamlining future amendments. Supervisor Colleen Teal led unanimous adoption of Local Law Number 1, repealing outdated newspaper publication requirements for zoning changes and eliminating periodic Planning Board review provisions, replacing them with online legal publication. The board also unanimously adopted a workplace violence prevention policy, established participation in a source water protection program, and designated The Columbia Paper as official newspaper following The Eastwick Press closure.

In a 4-1 vote with Councilmember Mark Baumli opposed, the board approved a $2,770 chain link fence around the deteriorating Munch property with costs to be recovered via tax lien, citing structural risks. The board accepted $2,400 in engineering services for basketball court construction.
