NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board submits retirement corrections for 16 suspended employees. The town submitted corrected records this morning for salaried employees whose retirement was misreported from 1986 to 2015, affecting approximately 16 of 40 to 45 employees, after a New York State Retirement System audit found errors in monthly reporting for months with three pay periods. Supervisor Colleen Teal said validation will take two to three days, followed by reinstatement within three to five days total, with affected employees retaining service credit for the suspension period.

Affected employees were told they would receive daily updates, and Councilmember Mark Baumli urged future communications with the state be documented in writing.
