NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon reapplies for walkable downtown TAP grant with modified scope. The Town Board re-approved the 2025 Transportation Alternatives Program application with parameters from NYSDOT requiring concrete sidewalks and allowing expansion to Shatford Park; the Town's $500,000 commitment is contingent on state supplemental funding. The project targets lane-width reduction to 11 feet to calm speeds on a road where the 85th percentile vehicle speed is 47 miles per hour against a 40 miles per hour limit.
The committee approved Option 3 as a backup plan if 2025 funding is not awarded and discussed property acquisition requirements between Midtown Mall and Blueberry Hill.
