NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon raises building permit fees to $4 per $1,000. The Town Board voted 5-0 on recommendation from CEO/ZEO Hazel "Cissy" Hernandez to increase the rate from $2, aligning New Lebanon more closely with neighboring Hillsdale and Austerlitz. Interim Supervisor Margaret Robertson and Councilmembers Kevin Smith Sr., Jesse Newton, Norman Rasmussen, and Mark Baumli also approved $1,149 in additional crime bond insurance coverage for 2020.
State Police and the Lebanon Valley Protective Association announced plans to operate a satellite NYSP office from the town firehouse following the NYSP barracks' relocation to Chatham.
