NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board approves staffing increase for building department. Supervisor Colleen Teal and colleagues unanimously backed an expansion of combined clerical hours from 7.5 to 20 per week through mid-September at the recommendation of CEO Cissy Hernandez, who cited improved work quality and administrative backlog. The increase affects the Zoning Board of Appeals clerk, Planning Board clerk, and Building Department clerk positions.

In a close vote, the board approved Survey Monkey software for $408 to track broadband service quality, with Councilmember Kevin Smith Sr. dissenting; the board also unanimously approved emergency lighting installation at Town Hall for $1,395 and endorsed a petition to designate Governor Samuel Jones Tilden's gravesite as a State Historic Site.
