NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board unanimously adopts solar energy regulations with comprehensive approval standards. Supervisor Colleen Teal and Councilmembers Geraldi, Smith Sr., Evans, and Baumli approved Local Law No. 2 after completing environmental review, establishing distinct requirements for roof-mounted and ground-mounted residential systems plus large-scale solar farms with site plan review and special use permit requirements. Off-site generation systems trigger payments-in-lieu-of-taxes.
The Board also approved contracts for gravel, sand, stone, calcium chloride, and fuel supply through July 2018, appointed Jeff Hattat as Deputy Code Enforcement Officer, and designated photographer Timothy Sears for the Music in the Park concert series.
