NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board authorizes LVPA contract, doubles building permit fees. Interim Supervisor Margaret Robertson secured unanimous authorization to execute the 2020 LVPA contract, establishing a New York State Police satellite office at the firehouse to maintain police presence after state troopers relocate to Chatham. CEO Hazel Hernandez's recommendation to increase building permit fees from $2 to $4 per $1,000 also won unanimous approval, bringing New Lebanon in line with regional comparators charging $4 to $8 per $1,000.

The board scheduled an end-of-year meeting for December 30 to adopt the formal resolution. Additional unanimous votes approved $1,149 in crime bond insurance and $869.98 in Town Clerk office furniture replacement.
