NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon approved $101,100 in insurance-funded highway equipment purchases: a $78,900 Kenworth roll back truck and a $22,200 John Deere tractor, both awarded to Western Mass Power Equipment through competitive bidding. The Town Board unanimously adopted Resolution 32 opposing Flock Safety automated license plate reader cameras on town property and urging Columbia County to ban the surveillance technology. In committee action, the board established a Water and Wastewater Committee, appointing Josh Young as chair and Trina Porte and Carol Reichert as members, pending an ethics review of Young's conflict-of-interest concerns related to the Tilden project.

The board scheduled five budget workshop meetings throughout October culminating in a public hearing on the 2027 budget November 4.
