NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board votes 3-1 to purchase community center. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling, Councilmember Susan Tipograph, and Councilmember Steve Powers backed the purchase of the Lebanon Valley Protective Association building, while Councilmember Elizabeth Kroboth opposed, arguing the building's modest usage did not justify the expense. The board authorized Attorney Tingley to prepare a purchase resolution for September.
The board also approved a three-year Memorandum of Agreement with Teamsters Local 294 effective January 2025 and announced that USDA funding has been approved to bring broadband service to every home in New Lebanon, with construction expected within 6 to 12 months.
