NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board approves $3,203 prevailing wage settlement. The board unanimously authorized the interim voucher payment to resolve a Department of Labor audit finding that Hatch Mechanical underpaid employees over two years. Councilmember Kevin Smith Sr. explained that the prevailing wage requirement has prompted Hatch Mechanical to cease working for the town, forcing New Lebanon to hire HVAC contractors from Pittsfield or Albany for future projects.
The board also agreed to amendments to 2019 and 2020 LVPA contracts, including modifications to budget carryover and reporting timelines.
