NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board authorizes emergency highway garage repairs. At a special meeting February 4, Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling and the Town Board unanimously approved a $34,609.50 contract with Darcy Construction to install a concrete floor in the town highway garage's cold storage section, damaged by fire on January 26. The contract was exempted from competitive bidding due to emergency circumstances, with insurance covering all costs.
The Board also granted the Highway Superintendent broad authority to make repairs in coordination with the insurance carrier, provided contracts follow competitive bidding requirements unless exempt and insurance reimburses expenses.
