NY NEW LEBANON — Town Board approves $917,400 in insurance proceeds for highway garage fire damage to four vehicles. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling reported on unanimous board votes accepting $181,300 for a 2023 Ford F550, $144,700 for a 2013 Ford F550, $323,900 for a 2018 International dump truck, and $267,500 for a 2002 CAT Loader, with the International truck to be declared surplus and sold for salvage. Separately, the board voted 4-1 to authorize changes to a $1,778,000 walkable downtown project, replacing stone dust sidewalks with concrete at Department of Transportation direction, despite public concerns about cost and whether design changes warrant a new referendum.

The board also adopted Resolution 14 urging state regulators to review NYSEG delivery charges and demand stronger cost controls.
