Town Board approves $200,000 interfund loan for fire repairs

NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board authorizes $200,000 emergency interfund loan for fire repairs. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling reported that emergency work on the fire-damaged highway garage requires immediate funding from insurance proceeds. The board voted unanimously on Resolution #15 to temporarily advance $200,000 from the highway insurance fund to the general fund for repairs, with repayment due by December 31, 2026.

The board also voted four to one to raise the town accountant's salary from $1,250 to $1,850 per month effective April 1, with Councilmember Joanne Amlaw voting against the increase.
