NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board approves $159,000 Lebanon Valley Protective Association 2020 budget. The board unanimously approved the spending plan, which includes $129,500 for operating expenses and up to $30,000 for equipment and truck capital reserves. Interim Supervisor Margaret Robertson and the board indicated the reserve funding addresses the LVPA's inadequate equipment and truck reserves, with new fire trucks exceeding $500,000 each.
The town agreed to match up to $30,000 of any unexpended 2019 operating funds the LVPA allocates to reserves. Public comment raised questions about the LVPA's building fund and potential plans for a new firehouse.
