Town Board adopts training policy with enforcement mandates

NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board enacts mandatory training policy for all town staff and committee members. Resolution #11 requires all employees and approximately 85 committee members to complete required state trainings by June 1, with department heads and committee chairs taking enforcement responsibility thereafter and removal from position for non-compliance by December 31. The board appointed Theodore Timreck as Town Historian and awarded a $439,050 playground construction contract to Grasshopper Gardens, Inc., pending engineer approval, after rescinding the initial lowest bid as non-responsive.
The Supervisor reported a temporary negative general fund balance of $265,000 is expected to resolve once approximately $1 million in landfill revenue and $200,000 to $300,000 in sales tax revenue are received.
