NY NEW LEBANON — Town Board rebids pavilion bathrooms project after zero contractor proposals. The board voted unanimously to re-advertise the Weisbuch Pavilion bathrooms project at Shatford Park after the May 13 bid deadline produced no contractor interest, despite reduced insurance requirements and direct outreach efforts. Supervisor Colleen Teal attributed the lack of bids to changes in prevailing wage requirements.
The rebid is scheduled for June, with construction to begin after August 23 and be completed by October 31. The Generator Store was permitted to withdraw its bid citing hardship from the same prevailing wage requirement change, and all other generator bids were rejected unanimously; the board will explore New York State contract pricing as an alternative.
