NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon approves $328K playground contract, switches health insurance carrier. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling led the Town Board in unanimously approving a $327,965.13 contract with ARS Landscaping Corp for playground improvements at Shatford Memorial Park, choosing pour-in-place fall safety surfacing to save approximately $37,500. The board also unanimously approved switching health insurance from CDPHP to MVP effective December 1, 2025, achieving a 10 percent rate increase while avoiding increases of 17-23 percent under existing carriers.
Environmental assessments for a revised telecommunications law were approved, but adoption was tabled pending a fee schedule update.
