NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Conservation Advisory Council assumes wastewater study leadership. The CAC unanimously approved member Steve Powers's motion to lead the feasibility study, shifting responsibility from the Business and Economic Development Council now on hiatus. Testing of 40 commercial district wells found 11 positive for E. coli and 22 positive for coliform; all contamination is remediable.
The council will work with Josh and seek Town Board guidance. Cost estimates must account for scenarios with and without Tilden Commons, a proposed development under Planning Board review. The council also addressed a fuel oil spill at a Springs residence and changed its regular meeting day from the second to the first Monday of each month.
