NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Conservation Advisory Council identified environmental concerns about two development proposals before the Planning Board and advanced multiple conservation initiatives. CAC members Cynthia Creech, David Farren, Peg Munves, and Craig Westcott raised risks to the unconsolidated aquifer and Wyomanock Creek from the proposed Stewart's Shops expansion and concerns about impacts from a new use at the Shed Man property; both sites are on the 100-year floodplain. The council also accelerated work on the Natural Resource Conservation Plan, assigning volunteers to capture scenic viewsheds by October 31, and launched the Source Water Protection Plan with a town-wide well survey.
