At its May 7 meeting, the council, including members Cynthia Creech, David Farren, Jack Lancto, Peg Munves, and Craig Westcott, agreed to hold the NRCP celebration on September 22 at Farren's home. The council discussed preserving the Shedman property as a public park, though the Shaker Swamp Conservancy reportedly declined the parcel.
