Conservation Advisory Committee redirects toward erosion control

misc · Meeting of March 11, 2026

NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Conservation Advisory Committee discusses erosion control and community partnerships. The committee met February 2 with members Bruce Shenker, Peg Munves, Donald Lamonaca, and Bill O'Neill, joined by Recreation Committee member Danielle Patterson to discuss the Trees for Tributes program. Resident feedback about struggling ornamental trees prompted a shift toward native grasses for streambank erosion and flood control, with both committees committing to future collaboration.

Fuel-oil spill mitigation proceeded on Main Street, with discounted water testing available at $120 per sample through CRENV lab.
