NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board votes unanimously to control highway garage fire settlement. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling's 5-0 vote rescinded authorization previously granted to Highway Superintendent McCagg on February 4, 2026, for managing insurance claims and repairs related to highway garage fire damage. Councilmembers Joanne Amlaw and Chris Patterson will lead board communication with the insurance carrier and superintendent.
The board acknowledged McCagg's work during winter operations and will maintain his involvement through closer oversight.
