NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board votes to investigate Covenant Circle road improvements. In a 3-2 split vote, Supervisor Michael Benson, Councilmember Dan Evans, and Councilmember Chuck Geraldi approved Resolution No. 12, directing the town engineer to survey Covenant Circle Road and prepare cost estimates for bringing it into compliance with town standards. Residents had petitioned for improvements with a proposed maximum of $100,000.
Councilmember Bruce Baldwin and Councilmember Matthew Larabee opposed, citing concerns over process and exclusion of the Highway Superintendent from the motion. If estimates exceed $100,000, a second public hearing will be held and residents may request a referendum.
