NY NEW LEBANON — New Lebanon Town Board approves bills for highway garage fire recovery. The board unanimously approved General Bills Nos. 168-176, totaling $21,266.50, at a three-minute special meeting on March 24. Supervisor Tistrya Houghtling reported that insurance payment checks for damaged equipment have been received and deposited.
The town has nearly exhausted a $125,000 appropriation for fire-related vouchers and will establish an equipment account. The Highway Superintendent requested to temporarily borrow equipment proceeds until remaining insurance reimbursements arrive, with a budget amendment to be presented at next week's meeting.
