NY NEW LEBANON — Town Board approves $74,596 in 2015 bills and addresses overdue retirement obligation. The Town Board voted unanimously on January 25 to approve $54,078.22 in general and $20,517.78 in highway bills. Supervisor Colleen Teal also addressed a $74,596 New York State Retirement Bill requiring payment by February 1, 2016 to avoid a 7.5 percent interest penalty; the bill should have been paid by December 15 to secure a $2,600 discount.
The board discussed shifting the 2015 Annual Updated Document preparation from outside accounting firm Pattison, Koskey, Bucci & Howe to town accountant Brian Fitzgerald, avoiding a $4,200 cost.
