NY NEW LEBANON — Town Board amends solar regulations to require tax payments on profit operations. The New Lebanon Town Board voted unanimously to amend Proposed Local Law #1 of 2017, requiring payment-in-lieu-of-taxes (PILOT) for roof-mounted solar installations operating for profit, following concerns raised by Supervisor Colleen Teal and Town Assessor Kim Cammer about potential municipal revenue loss. Town Attorney Stephanie Ferradino will revise the ordinance and provide public notice of the substantive change.

In related business, the board approved appointments to the Planning Board and Zoning Re-Write Committee, denied a court staff mid-year pay increase on a 4-0 vote with one abstention, and authorized repeal of the town's junkyard ordinance on a 4-1 vote.
